He settled himself, not allowing Deku to have such control over him.

“Then I’ll go.” Izuku’s words shook, coming out in unsure breaths. As if waiting for Katsuki to beg him to stay. They both knew he wouldn’t.

When Katsuki selects Izuku, he expects an obedient, docile bride and is intrigued by his defiance. It starts their relationship off with a rocky start.
