Summary
“Nice to meet you,” Eddie nods to them both, eyes sliding to Captain Nash’s other side, where the fourth member of their little team stands. He’s the youngest of them, positioned with his chest puffed out and arms crossed.
Eddie knows his type—insecure guys who get all threatened when someone intrudes on their territory. It’s an unsurprisingly common archetype among young werewolves.
“Evan Buckley,” he says. “Buck.”
He holds out a hand for Eddie to shake, as the name clicks for Eddie—the one Captain Nash had been on the edge of warning him about. Terrorizer of probies, more than likely.
And he’s cold. It’s a sharp contrast to Eddie’s naturally higher body heat, and he’s sure that it’s a strange sensation for both of them. When he breathes in a little deeper to check, seeking out Buck’s scent, he stills. The coppery smell is strong, overwhelmingly so. Buck is cold, and pale, and slimmer than Eddie would expect a firefighter his age to be.

Summary
Christopher scratches Buck during the tsunami, but the rest of the debris hurts a lot more and Buck thinks nothing of it. The next day, however, Buck experiences a lot of changes that he doesn't know how to handle. Luckily, Eddie is there to help him through it.

Summary
Wolves come in many different colors and coat patterns, their pelts as widely varied as human coloring. It can lead to some interesting looking wolves or some wolves that simply look like german shepherds but are much, much bigger.
The 118 has no idea what Buck looks like in wolf form and it's on purpose. He's never shifted in front of them, never joined them on pack outings- hell he's not even officially in the pack even after all these years. He says it's "not safe." Eddie's determined to figure out why and change it.

Summary
Buck wasn’t even aware he was screaming. All he knew was that Eddie wasn’t getting up and his heartbeat was slowing. “What the fuck did you do,” he screamed, fighting against the chains that bound him.
“We’ve cleansed the world of another impurity. Don’t worry, you’re next, Evan.” Phillip Buckley placed the silver gun down on the table next to him. “It’s a shame, Evan. Truly. If you’d stayed away from Eddie, we wouldn’t have found out about his alter ego. You,” Phillip pointed to him with the stake he picked up, “you, I’ve had my suspicions about since we visited that first time. I honestly didn’t think you could be even more of a disappointment…but here we are.”
Buck pushed against his bindings again - he had to get to Eddie…and if he had to go through his own father to do it, so be it. “At least we still have your sister,” Margaret sighed from her spot next to Eddie - Eddie who’s dying again! “Why you got so many chances at life when Daniel had no choice, I’ll never know…but at least he died human.”

Summary
Buck coming from a line of hunters has never mattered. Sure, Eddie recognized the tattoo as soon as he met the man who all but puffed at him for a shift or two. However, with a team including a witch and a dokkaebi who seemed to consider his attitude more like a little brother acting out than any kind of threat, Eddie was never overly concerned.
The same way Eddie doesn’t bring up Buck’s family’s affiliation, Buck doesn’t ask why Eddie doesn’t change to help them find a victim buried under a mudslide, or severed fingers scattered around.
Well, he doesn't until Eddie fucks up his own life and Gerrard comes back to the 118. And, granted, confronting Gerrard on scene might not have been the wisest decision. Hen looked like she wanted to smack him on the head for his stunt while Chimney sighed, an expression usually reserved for when Buck is acting out animating his face.
But it’s not like it warrants Buck following him home after their shift. One that ended up with four hours of Eddie scrubbing the sanitary facilities of the station. All he wants is a shower, a way to scrub his nostrils clean and sleep. Not to be reminded of yet another blunder to add to the ever-growing list of things he did wrong.
