Summary and story brought over from ffnet. Originally posted June 24, 2015
I was listening to a ton of songs on shuffle when I heard First Date by Blink 182 and all I could think of was Draco and Hermione. This is my first ever song fic and my first fan fic in almost 18 years. I appriciate critique not so much flames, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
I tried hard to make the time it takes to read the story close to the length of the actual song, according to my awesome beta I succeeded. This story is purposely made with a lot of open ends so that the story changes meaning slightly depending on who reads it. All in all it is meant to be light hearted and fun.
I recommend listening to the song in order to get the full effect intended by my songfic. I hope you enjoy it never the less.

Summary
Hermione Granger was raised to believe she was Muggle-born, a symbol of everything the war had tried to protect.
But after the fall of Voldemort, buried secrets begin to surface, and Hermione discovers that her entire life was built on a lie. Her blood, her name, her magic, and even her place in the war were never what she thought they were.

Ashes of the Greater good is the most poetically written thing that isnt an actual poem that I have ever read. Reading it is delightful and that is without taking the story into account.
The story is also very well done, well thought out, no loose ends and every piece connects.

“Why are you telling me this? I mean, why me? Why now?” Hermione asks.
“Maybe I like to live dangerously.” Draco shrugs and then is silent for a while, staring out accross the rooftops.
He runs a hand through his hair as he turns to face Hermione.
"Or maybe, I might need your help.” He says, quietly and softly. For the first time tonight, she sees traces of warmth in his eyes.

This work is a rewrite from year six onwards. Certain events, and the timing of events have been changed to fit in with the storyline. The story concludes in 2014.
It is essentially a love story, with an element of fluff and banter. It revolves around the development of a secret romance that blossoms after a repentant pureblood wizard plucks up enough courage to not only betray his upbringing, his heritage and Voldermort, but seek help from the Golden Girl herself.

Behind the Occulumency is a lovely Dramione long fic that had me hooked from the first chapter. Highly reccomend not trying to read it all in one day if you have any other plans.

Burnt out by ministry politics, haunted by a case she cannot forget, and drowning in a marriage that was built on survival and shared trauma, the last thing Hermione expects is to find herself back at Hogwarts.
Temporary. Quiet. Safe.
At least, that was the plan.
But something dangerous is moving through the castle halls. Perhaps Hermione could figure out what it is if she could get away from the infuriating blonde co worker who seems to be everywhere that she needs to be.

The Things We Take. Left off at ch 10. Says complete but hoping for a continuation.
Great character banter, mystery. People are having their magic stolen. Hermione Weasley is unhappily married, so is Ron. Draco is mediocrely engaged. Both work at hogwarts now to escape their weights and learn to live. At least that's my interpretation.
