Summary
Suguru once asked Kusakabe what the end goal was for creating the Goei-shi. His sensei shrugs. “Sometimes, people are just tired of sitting by,” he says, grimacing around the lollipop in his mouth. “Watching bad things happen to people around them. ‘Specially when they think they can do something about it.”
He misses when he used to be that kind of person, but he’s not exactly drowning in apathy-- more so, drowning in frustration and despair.
Gojo, when he deigns to grace Suguru with his presence again, scoffs at the concept. “I bet they’re just trying to prevent another Fushiguro from happening,” he says. “One more guard dog for today, one less Sorcerer Killer tomorrow.”
Suguru nods in agreement with the notion.
In the aftermath of the assassination of the Star Plasma Vessel, the higher-ups decide that they'd rather integrate humans with low cursed energy and no innate techniques into Jujutsu society as bodyguards known as the Goei-shi for their sorcerers rather than risk another Fushiguro Toji.
