Summary
with only a few weeks left to cure himself of the Kharaa Bacterium Ryley finds his last hope when the Hail Mary crashes onto 4546B and brings Ryland Grace along with it.

Grace takes a breath and glances back at Ryley before slipping in. once Grace is clear of the cyclops, he presses the button on his air bladder. Ryley was right; it shoots him up so fast it's just two seconds of whirlwind bubbles, then he's bouncing on the surface.He gasps and paddles, glancing down to see Ryley swimming up behind him with fins and a scuba mask now on. he wonders if he can get a suit like that to go along with the PDA; his clothes aren't exactly built for swimming.
Ryley surfaces and grabs his hands, tugging him forward to shore as Grace looks around, taking in his very non-Earth surroundings. The plant life is completely foreign to him; even the sounds of the life here are wrong. There's no bird song; instead, there are squeaks and chitters.
His eyes widen. "Where… Where are we?" He asks, turning to Ryley as they get up on shore, their mask and flippers fading with the same blue shimmer as the air bladder formed.
"This," Ryley gestures around, "is 4546B, your new home."

Summary
The arrival at Erid is a momentous occasion. Rocky is excited and thrilled. Ryland is overwhelmed. But the reunion is happy, beautiful, amazing.
Or that's what it should have been. Except Rocky gets hurt, Ryland is left to try and communicate with an alien planet, and everyone is scrambling to figure out how to do this. To Grace, this is incredible but also bittersweet - he got Rocky home safely with the taumoeba, now he just gets... to starve. To Erid, this is insane - how did Rocky show up in an alien spaceship with a child???

Ryland Grace is stuck trying to speak Eridian, immediately makes himself sound like a child, and Rocky's world and family scramble to help this strange pebble. Misunderstandings galore, alongside hurt/comfort and angst and fluff.

Summary
It’s the year 3048, and Earth is overpopulated, under-resourced and suffocating to death under compounded centuries of abuse.
Humanity senses they will run out of time long before they advance enough to reverse centuries of environmental pollution or learn to accelerate planetary terraformation.
Here starts Plan A - asking the not-so-friendly neighbours for help, except, well, unfortunately, human diplomacy and Eridian diplomacy are totally incompatible.
No biggie (medium to little whoop). A minor revision and now Plan A is - Diplomacy the shit out of these aliens using lab-grown and human-piloted Eridian bodies.
Enter Ryland Grace and his unintentional Plan B - Fumbling accidentally into seducing the celebrated Eridian Engineer who saved Erid and his brilliant head scientist husband.
