Pure Vanilla was the most annoying, most aggravating, most foolish cookie Shadow Milk had ever met.
It would be expected that, after such a statement, some may wonder what Pure Vanilla did. Was he acting rude, or selfish, or cruel?
No! In fact, it was worse than all three of those things combined!
Pure Vanilla was too gentle. And Shadow Milk was tired of it.
OR 5 times Shadow Milk tries and fails to get Pure Vanilla to rail him properly, and the 1 time he succeeds.

Summary
Pure Vanilla was never interested in being scented by Shadow Milk, so Shadow Milk assumes the healer does not want him. Not that he cares, or that it matters, because he has his pups— he means minions present and eager to accompany him through his heat.
Until they were made unavailable, and Shadow Milk had to deal with the lack of familiar companions in his nest. Fortunately, he may have misunderstood Pure Vanilla's feelings for him.

Summary
His body segments were dark, a deep violet that shone with an iridescent gleam. The eyes from his hair had migrated to cover them, too, each shining segment appearing to shift even more with how the eyes blinked in and out of existence on their surfaces.
As Shadow Milk's meters-long body twisted and folded, he caught glimpses of its underside, too- it was the same bright cobalt of his hair, the hue only made more intense by the blacklight.
Pure Vanilla couldn't tear his eyes away, eagerly drinking in each detail even as his body screamed at him to run. He was…enchanting; the colors and patterns of his new body hypnotically beautiful— in the deceptive sort of way that dangerous things were, to warn you not to come closer.
But Pure Vanilla didn't have a choice— the danger was approaching him, and there was nothing he could do to stop it.

Summary
Something huge now stood directly in front of him, blocking any hope of escape.
He cast his gaze up, and up, and up.
Before him was easily the largest spider he had ever seen, each of its eight legs twice the length of his body and just as thick. Its abdomen was swollen and heavy, resting lightly on the cave floor—no doubt filled with eggs, just like the spiders that covered the walls.
And, where the thorax and head of the spider would normally be, was what appeared to be the top half of a human– though there were some features that were– off. Its eyes were closed, giant fangs bulging and visible even through the skin around his mouth. It had a mop of soft-looking blond hair, and the smooth, tanned skin of its bare chest contrasted prettily against the dark blue and gold of the rest of its body.
By all accounts, it was a very handsome-looking spider.
