“Are you happy here?” Hua Cheng breaks the silence with another strange question.
“It’s nice and quiet,” Mu Qing thinks out loud.
“No, I don’t mean like that.”
“Then what?”
“Happy,” as if that clarifies anything. “Do you like being here, and I don’t mean this garden because you obviously like this small getaway,” Hua Cheng continues; for once rather earnest in his tone. “The court politics, the other heavenly officials, all that. Why are you here?” and Mu Qing is just about to answer when Hua Cheng speaks over, “You came here for him, I know you will never admit to that, but it’s true.”

Summary
Mu Qing caught Hua Cheng's eye and realised that the Ghost King shared his amusement about the situation. A small part of his soul settled at the normality of this moment — no battles, no hate, no death, just... three gods and a ghost who all peacefully settled themselves into a courtship that shocked the heavens.
