Either way, the words were out of Neil’s mouth before he could process what it would mean: “Do you want to go?”
Andrew stared at him blankly, amber eyes shining in the moonlight as he gazed at Neil. “What?”
“Go?” he asked, this time more confidently. This was what Neil wanted—what he needed. “Leave. We could leave together, run away.” He stared into his friend’s eyes. He needed this—he wanted Andrew to go with him. “Run away with me.”
