Rebecca lost her inhibitions at some point this evening. Abandoned them along with her relationship and her left shoe and the words "this is a bad idea." And she has no real interest in finding them again. Possibly ever.
No, that's not quite true. She definitely wants her shoe back.
She has no idea how many fingers of whiskey she's consumed. If she were in any state to guess, she'd probably say more than the number inside her right now but fewer than twelve.

She let Keeley talk her into this.
Speed dating.
Rebecca has never done anything like this before. It felt strange to go to an event where you would have a brief conversation with a stranger to determine whether you might potentially hit it off or not.
But it wasn’t even going to be like that.
This speed dating was based on physical attraction. Except, she wouldn’t even get to see the person she’ll stand opposite of. Here, she and all the other people would be blindfolded and all they were going to do, was kiss.
