It seems that destiny itself has called.” Little did you know that “destiny” would have a much bigger (and taller…) surprise in store for you a few months into the new job. A few surprises at that, including a very unexpected, but not unwelcome, birthday one.

At that exact moment, three explosions sounded in the distance. Followed by the sprinkler system flicking on.
Shalnark paused, slowly turning over to you. Staring for a long moment before speaking, “You brought bombs?”
You stared back, considering telling him that they were, in fact, just fireworks.
You decided against it, “Something like that.”
“You’re crazier than us sometimes,” Phinks huffed.
Feitan, who had seen you place the fireworks, didn’t correct him. After all, snitches get stitches.
Or
Feitan, Shalnark, and Phinks get bored waiting for Chrollo to call them to a mission.
So, they decided to answer a "Roommates Wanted" ad. Wanting to see how long it'd take for either their new roommate to realize they're wanted terrorists, or until one of them gets bored and kills them.
Unexpectedly this fun idea on how to spend a week or two turns out to be a lot longer than just a few weeks.

Komugi explains there is a fancy bar and restaurant in downtown East Gorteau. She has never been, but she knows there will be live jazz and candlelit dinner. Perhaps the King might know something or two about music and table manners, and nothing about dates. Perhaps Komugi could learn to like the taste of wine, and ignore how she feels so out of place. Perhaps the Royal Guard might follow His Majesty and survey the scene in lavish disguise. Perhaps hijinks ensue.
Komugi won the game, and the King had no choice but to uphold his end of the bargain. Perhaps he had hoped he would lose.- Language:

Perhaps mage's magical abilities gives them a bit of an advantage, a higher tolerance to what they could endure. You’ve seen Savanaclaw students go down hard enough to snap their necks yet they bounce back up seconds later. Though, surely there have to be limits.
