“Midoriya,” Shouto said, interrupting Bakugou. “Yes, you are. Now tell us, where’s the blood coming from?”
Midoriya blinked. “Oh. It’s not mine.”
Shouto sucked in a breath, and glanced at Bakugou, almost afraid to ask any more questions. His eyes had widened, and all the anger was gone from his face. He just looked… terrified. Shocked.
Shock. Midoriya wasn’t hurt, he was in shock.
Which again begged the question Bakugou had already asked twice.
“….Where’s Kirishima?”

“Okay, fine.” Eijiro sighs, on the phone with Denki and Hanta. “He’s kind of hot.” Denki spits out his water and Hanta stares at his phone in shock. “What?”
“Bakugo Katsuki. Hot?” Denki yells. “Are you out of your fucking mind, Eijiro?”
“I’m not! He is hot, okay? Can I speak my truth or what?”

Kirishima had always been open with Bakugou about his self-esteem struggles. He’d admitted, more than once, that he still sometimes felt like he wasn’t enough, that his hardening wasn’t flashy or versatile enough compared to the rest of their class. Bakugou would grunt, call him an idiot, and remind him in his own gruff way that he was the only partner he trusted to have his back. Aizawa, too, had noticed the occasional dip in Kirishima’s usual boundless energy during homeroom check-ins and had quietly offered extra mentoring sessions. But no one knew the true extent of how deep the darkness could go.
