The way he'd looked, though, in the sunset bleeding through Nirinso’s windows; shirt unzipped and scar exposed, just enough to be an unexpected temptation; soft and loose-limbed with exhaustion… And the two of them, alone, while their digimon slept in another room. Tomoro hadn't thought it through. Hadn't waited for the idea to pass the logic filters in his head.
“Are you sure about the choice you're making?” Kyo asked in that strange scrutinizing way of his.
“No,” he'd said, honestly, because he was a terrible liar, especially if it was to Kyo.
“I need you to be sure you want what you're asking for.”
He’d wanted and wanted and wanted, and Kyo just kept giving.

Nice should have just kept walking, he's busy enough as it is but for some reason, he makes the mistake of turning around to the voice. Maybe it's because it sounded earnest, startlingly so, maybe it's because he wanted a reason to stop for a moment, just for a breath.
