Summary
He was feared. People said he had an army of thousands. No one knew his goal or his origin. He seemed to sail endlessly through the seven seas with no destination. He would stare into the water every night, standing at the edge of his ship, as though he were searching. As if he had unlimited patience, he would never be frustrated, as if it didn’t bother him that he hadn’t yet found what he was searching for. Almost as if he knew, that someday…he would find whatever it was he‘s searching for.
A man stood at the edge of his ship. The merman couldn’t help his heart from beating a bit faster. The man wore red and looked endlessly calm and serene under the moonlight. He felt a sense of familiarity. The man hadn’t seen him, but the merman felt as though the pirate was still aware of his presence. The merman saw the pirate’s eyes soften, he looked up to the new moon and started to hum a melody. And at that moment…the merman felt himself move, bringing him closer to the surface. His heart beating in his ear, the pirate’s figure becoming clearer…with one more wave of his tail, he felt the cold night air finally hit his face.
