Summary
On the night before Extermination Day, Husk finds himself behind the bar, and as usual, Angel is hard to ignore. Especially since Husk owes him an answer to a question he asked a month ago. Between card tricks, casual flirting, and the possibility that everything might end tomorrow, Husk finally admits that, against all odds, he might actually care.

Summary
After the whole thing with Val at Consent, Angel is fine. Really. He just doesn't get why Husk still insists on taking care of him—with some pretty questionable medical methods, no less.
Angel might just get the idea that Husk is coming on to him. Which would be a lot easier to deal with than whatever this actually is.Series

When Angel takes a hands-on approach to brighten Husk’s bad mood, he doesn’t expect Husk's request for sincerity to turn into an emotional striptease he isn’t quite ready for.

Summary
There had been a restlessness inside Seregil ever since he'd realised Alec was missing—a complicated tangle of emotions he wasn’t quite ready to examine.

Summary
The folks at the Hazbin Hotel were no strangers to one of their own being in bad shape from time to time.
So Angel stumbling through the doors of the Hotel one evening and generally looking worse for wear was upsetting, yes, but not particularly surprising.
At least, not at first. Everyone hanging around the Hotel lobby just assumed that he was tired and sore from a long day at work. Then, a few of them grew faintly concerned that the usual stresses of his job had been further compounded by his monster of a boss.
The first thing that clued them in to how wrong they were was the silence.

Summary
The thing is, Angel knows. He knows this is toxic bullshit, knows that Val is an abusive asshole, knows that nothing that comes out of his mouth is anywhere close to the truth. Val wouldn’t know the truth even if it fucked him in the ass, came all over his face and then told him to lick it up like a good boy (Angel knows because HE has been in that position more times than he cares to count).
Sure, Val says that Angel’s his treasure and that he loves him and that neither Vox nor anyone else mean anything but.
Angel’s not an idiot.

Summary
The closest Alastor's ever gotten to romance comes in the form of—in order of increasing hilariousness—a couple of botched youthful attempts at kissing, cheap mass-produced smut comics, and the wildly entertaining tales of other people's sordid affairs.
He's never wanted sex. He's never wanted love. He's never seen a problem with this.
It's taken about a century, but he's pleasantly surprised to discover that the rest of the world is finally starting to catch up with his perspective.
More than anything else, he’s pleased that these new modern attitudes have given him extra opportunities for bad puns.

Summary
“Can ya teach me to play cards?”
Husk’s wings retract. The glass nearly slips, but he’s quick to catch it, before rearing back on Angel with widened eyes. His pupils are like pinpoints — like a cat, Angel thinks, before shoving the thought away and taking a casual sip of his drink.
(Husk had an inkling that Angel was a little ditzy, but not this ditzy.)

Summary
Naturally, Husk’s kindness goes straight to Angel’s head. This is why he doesn’t do heroin — you try that shit once, you always want it. You may never take it again, but you’ll carry the gaping-aching hole in your chest until the end of your days. Or the end of eternity.
