Summary
Snow-Claw is their friend- all four of them, but one of them especially. No matter how many guilds they join, beasts they fight, World-Eaters they slay, they all (unknowingly) feel the same; the parties dearest companion takes the form of a complete stranger whenever she sees fit. Lately, she's been uncharacteristically solemn and stone faced, leaving into the museum for hours at a time and inviting no one. She returns with paws covered in ink and papercuts.
It takes them no time at all to determine she is scheming, as she loves to do. After conferring, they decide to accompany her on a mission to Elsweyr she expressly forbade them from attending, dead-set on discovering what she is hiding from them and why. They love her. They're worried.
The truth is grotesque and cumbersome.
What do you do when your friend, companion, and lover takes the form of a monster? Your worst nightmare? Your deepest regrets?

He investigates to find more than just a cold, empty home- a hurt heart, spilt ink, and a long decommissioned pair of relic gloves all haunt his dearest.

You are Director Qi's newest assistant. That is what you know. As of the 2nd of Winter, you plummeted from Modern Earth in the Milky Way galaxy into a world utterly unknown to you, having lost everything you know and love- and needing to keep it a secret in fear of those who may abuse your knowledge on "Old-World" technologies. You were lucky enough to fall flat on the sand in front of one of the strangest men you've ever met, who is more than willing to protect your identity on the condition that you provide him with any information you can remember freely. Becoming his assistant was more of a side feature- you aren't a scientist, so all you had to do was the busywork. This arrangement would've been easy... had the two of you not been stupid and horny. You've fallen into what he calls a "platonic-sexual entanglement". You are beginning to realize how Isolated you are as you try to regain your footing and navigate living in a new town and a new universe, and you'll do whatever or whoever it takes to make that a little easier- including your boss.
