Summary
In which Akutagawa and Atsushi are high school seniors, and Akutagawa is chronically ill. What happens when you fall in love with someone who is out of time?
*rivals/one-sided hate to friends to lovers would be more accurate than “enemies to lovers”
*I’m basing this AU off of the American school system because it’s easier to write about what I know. Here’s your basic info:
Atsushi is still an orphan like in the canon, but in this AU he was able to go to school while living in the orphanage. How? Don’t know. It’s irrelevant to the plot. He lives on his own by the time the story starts.
Akutagawa is 20, but he is also a high school senior. Due to his lung disease, he spent a lot of time in the hospital and was held back two years for missing so much school. Nobody besides his sister and closest friend know the real reason for why he missed so much school. He and his sister live alone.
Dazai is a teacher in this AU. He plays an important role in this story.
Tanizaki is Atsushi's best friends, and Kyouka is like a little sister to him.
Chuuya is Akutagawa’s best friend. He is one of the two people who know about Akutagawa’s condition. He already graduated and is working at a flower shop.Series
