Summary
He abruptly turns away from the only face he may know better. The face that he first outlined in Madam Malkin's seven years ago and has haunted him every year since. With eyes as stark green as the very killing curse he survived.
Sometimes Draco wonders if that's where the magic went. If all the Dark Lord's power, his rage high on murder, was absorbed into those eyes. It was the same face he'd once believed he could befriend...a long time ago.
Draco made all the wrong choices, he's well aware now, hindsight being 20/20 and all that, so he knows it started the day he mocked Ron Weasley- who had somehow done what Draco had wanted to accomplish for years in ten minutes.

Summary
“Malfoy, we have to slow it down!” Harry yells over the growing racket of the time turner. Harry’s not sure how, exactly, they’re going to do that, but they have to try. Malfoy looks at him wildly, and hesitates for only a second before grabbing his arm.
Harry looks uncomprehendingly at Malfoy’s hand on his arm. “We’ll be stronger together!” Malfoy shouts. Oh. Right. The spell. Harry points his wand at the time turner, along with Malfoy. “Finite Incantatum!”
The time turner only seems to grow stronger. A bright light begins to glow out from the center of the device, reaching its edges over to Harry and Malfoy.
The last thing Harry sees is Malfoy’s worried face, and then darkness.
