Zenitsu clutched at his blanket desperately. "I.. I don't even know what to address you as. I don't even know if you're really him!"
Tanjirou looked puzzled. "What are you talking about?"
"Enough! Don't play games with me, you.. you! You're not.. You can't be.." Zenitsu shuddered, "You aren't really my best friend, are you? You.. You're not even completely human.." Zenitsu forced himself to maintain eye contact with him, despite the growing pit in his stomach.
Tanjirou's eyes widened with surprise before his gaze softened. "Oh, so that's why you fainted." Was all he said in reply.
"An astute observation. I expected you to figure out eventually, but not so soon." Tanjirou spoke. Zenitsu couldn't find it in himself to meet his gaze.
"..."
"Although, you're wrong about one thing." ‘Tanjirou’ added.
"I suppose you're going to tell me anyway, regardless of whether or not I want to hear it." Zenitsu mumbled.

"The stars began to show up on the sky, glittering and shimmering the whole night. It was nights like this that reminded him of his family when their father was still alive. They would put up a bonfire and dance around it, he would try to copy his father’s movements but always tripped and fell. It was there, on his little butt, the whole sky shining with bright yellow stars while his family's laughter could be heard from afar. He would put his tiny hand up, trying to grab one but to no avail. His father came and picked him up, his eyes still trailed on the sky, hoping in his little brave heart, he could have one to himself someday."
Tanjirou just got back from a rough mission and was shaken up by the whole thing. Nezuko being a supporting and loving sister as she is, suggested they should go on an easy mission together. While on it, Tanjirou found himself an interesting demon, who has sunlit hair and a unique scent he cannot resist.
What is he? Why Tanjirou feels like he has to protect him at all cost? And will the said demon get in the way of Tanjirou's life mission?

I don’t think I’m very weak-minded, but something about you makes me turn to mush. I can’t think when you’re near me, it’s ridiculous. You are incredible, the way you work and the way you refuse to back down. I admire you so much.
I feel a little embarrassed putting this in that box of yours outside your door. I already saw how full it was, letters from other people no doubt fighting for your attention because I don’t understand how anyone can’t look at you and get drawn in.
