“Let’s go home, Felix,” Abby said softly, nudging him on the shoulder to get his attention.
He sniffled and lifted his head just enough to look at her with swollen, tear-filled eyes.
“Home?” he asked, his voice so small it barely sounded like him.
“Yes,” Abby whispered.
