Summary
Eddie’s handsome, that’s obvious, Buck clocked that the second he met him. Part of him still can’t really believe that the guy he was so threatened by at first ended up as his closest friend, which is why these weird twinges are so unsettling. Buck isn’t sure if they’re real, for one, these odd flashes of what it would be like to lean over and kiss Eddie while they’re watching a movie or brush a hand over his back while they’re in the kitchen. And for two, it’s so far out of the realm of possibility that it’s barely worth thinking about.

Loved the long development! Really nice OC character, getting Buck a new friend. Very buddie centric and we get Buck's pov, then Eddie's then back to Buck's for the end.

Eddie caught sight of the man leaning against the side of his desk and immediately wanted to retreat to the relative safety of the hallway, back in time when he lived happily not knowing that Mr. Buckley was apparently some kind of male model masquerading as a third-grade teacher.
“Uh. Hi,” was all he managed, as his brain desperately tried to reconcile this person—this very tall, very broad, very hot person, Jesus fucking Christ—with the Mr. Buckley that Chris rambled about constantly, the one who loved Lord of the Rings and was an endless repository of fun animal facts. (Did you know a group of owls was called a parliament? Eddie didn't, not until last week.)

The entire world pauses, and Eddie actually feels it, the bolt of arousal slinking down his spine all the way to his toes. He wets his lips. “Right now?”

Steve rolls his eyes and immediately deflects. “How about you, man?” he forces himself to ask, not sure why he really doesn't want to know the answer. “Any dates lately?”
Danny scoffs and waves one hand dismissively. “As if I have time for that. While you’re trying to save the citizens of Oahu, I’m too busy trying to save Oahu from you.”
Steve wonders for a second why that answer relaxes him—why it eases the tight knot in his gut—but before he can think about it too hard, their phones are ringing, Chin is on speakerphone reading out an address, and Steve is pulling a sharp u-turn and speeding toward a crime scene.

Apart from Steve's revelation about his own sexuality (nothing original etc) and classic Cath's interruption/appearances (thankfully, shortly dealt with), it was good and fun! And sexy.
Loved especially Steve bonding time with Grace, first kayaking with Danny too and second when Danny is in Jersey and Rachel busy with Charlie. -
