Summary
Buck is back to work after the lawsuit but he is the man behind and totally ostracized by the family he had so desperately fought to return to. Alone and miserable, the fact that other firefighters at the station decide that they can have free range on him since he's got no one in his corner, Buck begins to fall into deep despair. Inevitably, one day the the bullies take it that one step too far and end up causing a horrific incident that finally has the 118 realizing just how badly they've wronged their Buck, especially Eddie and Bobby. Bobby noticed him first and went up to him. "Can I help you, young man?"
The teenager shuffled forward. "I'm looking for Edmundo, Edmundo Diaz? He works here."
Hearing his name, Eddie's brow furrowed. He stepped closer. At first, he didn't recognize the face. The sharp shape of the jaw, the curve of the mouth… then it clicked.
"Rachel?" He called, a question laced with surprise.
The teenager straightened, "I go by Raphael now."***
Eddie gets an unexpected visitor one day on shift, it’s his little cousin who needs a place to stay after getting kicked out by his parents :3
Just so everything is clear. This happens in an alternate universe where season 8 happened a lot differently. Bobby is alive and well, Eddie and Chris never went to Texas, the whole Kim Marisol thing never happened and Buck lives with Eddie due to the loft disappearing or something. (Shh. Don’t read too much into it.)
Chris is 14.
