Seven years of suffering and finally he was home. He had once been the Lightbringer, glorious and beautiful, and then he was the devil, wrathful and fearsome. Now he was just a broken archangel who yearned for his big brother.
Michael had spent the last seven years searching for his father, hoping for any sign of him. Alone, abandoned and forsaken. He had hardened his heart, but it cracks upon the sight of a tortured Lucifer.

Summary
Hope never died in Adam, and it is not until many years later when Lucifer turns to speak to Adam and Michael moves in for an attack. Lucifer stands firmly in front of Adam protecting him from his brother’s violence. This is when Adam understands love and unwavering devotion.
