Ed was not to meant to have an omega. Omega where one of those fine things that always seemed out of reach for him with their gentle smile and soft words. And he was fine with it, really. Who needed an omega anyways. Not Ed. He was fine with never having an omega, anyways he loves Stede, good old Beta Stede.
And speaking of Stede, it's not so much that he forgot to tell Ed he was an omega. It's just that he's been living as a Beta so long and really it just sort of slipped his mind.
I have been working with an excellent sensitivity reader, sunwukxng, to improve the wording of what I’ve already written (through chapter 12), particularly the narrative’s depiction of Ed.
