Summary
So this was how he was going out. Saddening. Significantly less exciting than he'd've hoped for.
The small cobalt mech took aim and pulled the trigger, not even bothering to turn tail and flee. No, it would catch up within a few strides and shred him, strewing sinew all over the battlefield. The mech didn't look right–-whatever the hell that meant.
A shrill screech echoed through the battlefield as it grabbed him and slammed him to the ground, sending dust into the air. The resulting shriek that left Crankcase was, quite honestly, embarrassing. In his defense, there was some sort of not-mech throwing him down (his helm cracked painfully against the packed dirt) and attempting to restrain him, servos grasping at his chassis clumsily and tendrils covering what couldn’t be accessed by hands. He didn’t know what it was after, but whatever it was, Crankcase knew he did not want it to gain access. It was a primal fear that he really couldn’t explain past fucking look at the thing!

When Cosmos is caught by the casseticon twins intentionally hovering over some humans while he spies on their small decepticon camp, he never would’ve guessed that they *wouldn’t* attack him — let alone that they would find him cool!
Neither could he have guessed that they’d try to set him up with their boss, the decepticon third-in-command Soundwave.

Summary
Soundwave, once entrapped in the shadow zone, had now found himself in a mirror world, where the Decepticon Cause had held what it promised and the Autobots seek to restore the caste system under a religious dictatorship.
Megatron had once promised to conquer and come out on top with Soundwave, strong enough to stand by his side.
This gold tinted mirror of his master showed no interest in conquest.
There was no peace through tyranny.Soundwave's own worldview tilted.
