Later, once he’s put a healthy distance between himself and those specific sand dunes, he’ll recall impressions of bright hair and black estigma and a hole in the center of the fucking vasto lorde’s chest.
The whole affair only gets more confusing afterward, when the damn thing keeps trying to feed him.

Heisenberg’s brow twitches beneath the brim of his hat. “How quaint,” he murmurs. “A drunk man grasping at philosophy.”
“Answer the question.”
There’s a beat and Heisenberg shifts his grip on the hammer, metal creaking faintly as it settles against his shoulder. “It’s about identity,” he says finally. “Replace something piece by piece — every part, one at a time. At what point does it stop being the same thing?”

Which is even more impressive when you find out he’s only been the T.A. for the head of the math department for two years.

Oh, and Ciri gets to be an almost-normal teenager who can geek out about indie music and horses and cook up drama with her girlfriend, because ToS and LotL broke my heart for her, so no rapy destiny stuff in here.
I got inspired reading TheAforementionedAction's delicious oneshot "Worthy", but there is no connection between the fics content wise.

Jaskier is forced to agree witchers are not human, but that doesn't mean they're dangerous. In fact, he's astounded by how many of Geralt's uncontrolled impulses involve touching.
