Summary
Wesker isn’t a god though, certainly not in Chris’s eyes. But the placement works if it must - there’s something irrecoverably religious about falling for Wesker. Of course - suffering feels religious if you do it right; that’s how the saying goes. The old wound carved by the end of Wesker’s gun still draws near as Chris bites hard on his bottom lip, tasting blood and wine and melting into the hushed gasp Wesker lets out.

Summary
Chris doesn't know why Wesker came back into his life. Wesker isn't sure either, but considering the circumstances that brought them back together, they have no choice but to find out what they've both become....it won't be that easy.
Or
Wesker somehow came back to life and is now Chris's problem.

He crept forward, one foot in front of the other. The house was silent, no signs of forced entry, nothing broken. No footprints on the floor, but something was wrong. He moved slowly through the hallway, toward the kitchen.
Then he heard it, the unmistakable clink of ceramic on ceramic. He turned the corner, weapon raised, and froze. A man sat on the counter, sipping from Chris’s coffee mug. "I have to admit." The man said, setting the mug down. "You’ve settled in nicely over the years, Chris."
Chris’s blood turned to ice. His grip on the pistol tightened. “Wesker?”
