Mikey wasn’t the same after the Krangg invasion. He was suddenly a much more capable mystic user, well he would be if he could get it under control. A freak accident happens that switches Mikey from the Rise verse with the Mikey of the 2012 verse.
This is a callout post to the abusive tendencies in the 2012 verse and it’s time for them to face a Mikey that has some bite to him. 2012 Mikey deserves some good brothers.

Summary
The Kraang are ready. Their plan to take over Earth has been running smoothly for centuries, and they only have the final steps of their plan left to finally gain their second home... Until the turtles come around. No matter what they do, they can't seem to defeat them. The mutants knock down every tower they build and all the progress they make, and now the Kraang are getting desperate.
But they have the technology, the interdimensional portals, and the mind control devices... and so they hatch a plan. It's a plan that cannot possibly fail. After all, who would be better to defeat the turtles than the turtles themselves?

Mikey looked upon what he had made. He stared at his hands. He raised them out in front of him. “Please?” He waited for a yellow glow. A tingling sensation. Something. Anything. “I just… Please. I need some help right now.” He was supposed to be some sort of badass mystic warrior. He’d done it before. Why couldn’t he do it again? Why couldn’t he summon some advice from the beyond or even just have a spark? Why couldn’t he do it? “Please?” His voice cracked. “Just Gram-Gram or… Or even the Shredder? Someone?” This is pointless. You can’t do this. You can’t do anything. “Anyone?”
Mikey screamed and threw his hands up to his head. “WHY?!” Blobby tears rolled down his face and into his mask. He clumsily pried the mask off and through it to the ground, gasping for air. Michelangelo fell to the ground and clawed his way to the nearest support he could find. He wailed in agony and banged his head against the wall behind him.
Jump.
The turtle climbed up the railing, panting like an asthmatic. His fingers cut on wire.
“I- I just need to get some air.”
Jump.
He stood on the rail, arms straight out. “I just… I need some air.”
Mikey let himself fall. -

A cool fun fact about box turtles is that they are one of the most freeze-resistant animals alive. See, when they get too cold, their bodies have this amazing defense mechanism that diverts their blood to their core to keep them alive. Super unfortunate for the Hamato family’s blood pressure, because in severely cold environments a box turtle’s heart will actually stop beating. Fascinating right?
It would be soooo fascinating, in Leo’s humble opinion, if they had known about it before finding Mikey dead on the floor of a freezer.or, box turtles can literally have 80 percent of their bodily fluids frozen and LIVE. what the fuck.
