Waits, because Timothy must be joking, must be using metaphors, must have an explanation as to why he’s saying—planning, because Timothy Drake doesn’t confess to wanting to do things on a whim. He would do them without telling anyone. Or he tells someone when he has a plan, a plan he isn't willing to divert from.
“I don’t know how,” Timothy continues, as if he hadn’t just shattered Damian’s world, alongside causing his heart to almost stop.

Summary
Sometimes, Tim isn’t sure he’s real.
Tim isn’t sure when he started altering his appearance. Maybe he always knew how to do it. Maybe he learned how watching his mother in front of the vanity in her room, blue silk dressing gown wrapped tightly around brittle bones as she peered critically at her reflection, widening her irises ever so slightly, narrowing the bridge of her nose.
A good transformation, she’d told him once, is not over exaggerated, or particularly striking. It must appear completely natural at all times, or the trick is ruined. The game is up.
Tim’s nose is a little crooked. He doesn’t remember how long it’s been that way.
