    NOVEMBER 2025 UPDATE: For years, I've wanted to edit this story. I learned so much about writing and knew I could make this story so much better. This fic has a special spot in my heart. I think it might be my favorite because it isn't what you initially expect it to be and has a great Everlark HEA ending. It's part sad, Capitol prostitute, part spy-thriller, part rebellion, love story. All of that is my long-winded way of saying that I'm currently working on rewriting this story. UPDATE COMPLETED.

    Peeta is the sole winner of the 74th Hunger Games. As a desirable victor, he is quickly sold as part of Snow’s prostitution empire.

    Katniss is a member of the rebellion living undercover in the Capitol.

    Katniss and Peeta share one childhood moment and believe they will never see one another again until he unknowingly becomes the symbol of an uprising and she is given a mission to help save him.

    Hello to everyone who has read this story, or is just discovering it. I published/wrote the entirety of it in only six months, but I wanted to make it the best that it could be, so I underwent a huge editing process. It's now finished! Nothing has changed majorly, mostly grammatical fixes and adding more detail, making it almost 5000 words longer. I tried to stay true to canon but also explore something entirely different.     Peeta finds himself in District Twelve on Reaping Day of the Seventy-Fourth Hunger Games. This time, He vows to do it differently. This time, there will only be one Victor, and it won't be Katniss Everdeen.

    As he struggles to survive the 74th Games for the second time, he finds that some things can be fixed, but some things are just inevitable. As if no matter what he does to change it, this would've happened anyway.
