“Missed me,” Ghost crackles in his ear. Warm, teasing. A tone that Soap is almost certain is reserved for him.
Soap scoffs. "Prove it."
“Aw,” Ghost tuts. “Don’t trust me?”
No one I trust more, Sir. He doesn’t say it. Not that he isn’t sure Ghost already knows; if he’s even half as inhumanly perceptive as everyone gives him credit for, then he has to know, has to feel that tangible presence orbiting between them. (The direct acknowledgement of this entity feels too unshakably taboo. A point of no return that takes the shape of something gnarly; a feral elephant in the room that threatens to maul one or both of them down if addressed.)
“Bastard,” he grumbles instead. Wonders if his voice is as thick with affection over the com as it sounds spoken aloud. Would it matter, if it was?

Summary
Rationally, Bruce knows it was bound to happen sooner or later. It’s a minor miracle that it even took this long—a testament to Superman and Batman’s effectiveness as a team, to the fluid coordination they’ve fought hard to hone.
That doesn’t make it any easier to stomach, in the moment or while they’re debriefing with the rest of the League.

Summary
On some of his worst days, Ghost could have convince himself that he wasn't enough for Soap. But in moments like this, watching the way Soap worshipped his body, took him apart and eased him back together, it was hard to remember how those thoughts had even formed in the first place.

Summary
Ghost hadn’t factored in all of the consequences when he had decided to jump from the moving vehicle, the fall breaking his arm. He hadn’t considered that it would land him here, frustrated and pent up, his only outlet being to run his team into the ground with training drills.
Thankfully Soap has two good hands and a whole lot of ideas at how he can help out his Lt.

He’d had Ghost’s voice pouring into his ear for hours, somehow rough and smooth and smoky all at once, like the kind of Scotch he couldn’t really afford. And that voice, combined with the fatigue, the bone deep weariness, was starting to have the same effect as good Scotch on his resolve, on his fucking impulse control
Soap makes bad choices, no one knows when banter crosses the line into flirting, and their comms definitely shouldn't be used like that. Somehow, despite themselves, they make it work.
This is mostly porn, with feelings added for a bit of spice.
