Они оба были странными. Очень странными. И от того им было легко найти контакт. Обычно такие люди, как Аргенти, даже особо не нравились Бутхилу, и с первого взгляда Бутхил истолковал Аргенти как-то не так, не понял его эстетику, а потом оказалось, что он забавный. Вперёд его странных речей, восхищения каждым камнем на пыльной дороге и тоски по угасщему свету красоты Бутхил видел в Аргенти азарт, любопытство, созерцание. Он был безбашенным, как сам Бутхил, смелым, готовым на любое безумство. Это ему нравилось.

Аргенти был своего рода уникальным человеческим созданием, аналогов которому не было во вселенной. Бутхил был так в этом уверен, потому что Аргенти смог с ним сблизиться, не смотря на сильнейшую предвзятость Бутхила к нему самому, его словам, его манере себя вести, его взглядам, да даже к его Эону (они не говорят об этом). Аргенти как-то смог убедить Бутхила, что любит его, что Бутхил достоин любви.

“Ah, excuse me?”
Jaemin lifts his head out of his arms and looks suspiciously at the guy who has sidled up next to him out of seemingly nowhere. He just cocks an eyebrow in response, too grumpy to say anything.
The guy lets out a little laugh at that, more of an exhale through his nose, and scratches his cheek. Not self-conscious but obviously not expecting to be met with such blatant hostility. He’s cute, Jaemin will give him that, even though he doesn’t want to. Cute, but not his type.

“This potion requires pure, innocent thoughts when making it,” Jaemin says, pointedly looking down at his own saucepan because they don’t have the money to buy one of those big cauldrons yet. “Just so you know, I was thinking about the holy sanctity of marriage. White doves and unicorns. The whole lot.”
“You were thinking about fucking him into next Sunday, weren’t you?”
Jaemin stops stirring. “Yep. I’m going to have to throw out this whole potion and start again.”
Donghyuck, Jaemin, and Jeno live and work together. Which should be a simple arrangement, except Donghyuck sleeps with Jaemin while they pretend they don't have any feelings for each other, and all the while they're both head over heels in love with Jeno.
