You worked quietly in the small kitchen. Something had called to you as the sun rose, perhaps nothing more than a mere craving, but you decided to use this as an opportunity to surprise the wizard still snoozing in the other room. Asra was always slow to rise anyway, so you’d have plenty of time to-
“Ahh!” Your whole body jumped. Your heart leapt into your skull, pounding uncomfortably hard against your ribs. You could feel the rhythm in your throat and fingertips; hear it in your ears. You turned around to smack Asra in the chest. “You scared me!”
Asra didn’t have the decency to look apologetic. Instead, they snickered mischievously. Their hands - which had pinched your sides from out of nowhere - smoothed sweetly over your waist instead, thumbs rubbing just below your ribs. “I couldn’t resist the temptation,” he said.
