Summary
James Potter makes one catastrophic mistake in a Hogwarts corridor: he mistakes Regulus Black for Sirius and slaps his arse in front of half the school.
What follows is public humiliation, attempted murder, a corridor full of laughing spectators, and the deeply unfortunate realization that Regulus Black is even more dangerous up close. By the end of the night, James is scratched, bruised, nearly strangled twice, and far more interested than any sensible person should be.
It is, unfortunately for everyone involved, the beginning of something.

James tipped his face up harder.
“You really are pathetic, aren’t you?”
Regulus’s eyes fluttered.
It was so brief James nearly missed it.
His body went strangely tense against James’s.
Regulus twisted, trying again to put space between them.
James followed the movement automatically, pressing his hips closer to stop him escaping.
Then he froze.
For one second, his mind refused to understand what he could feel.
Heat.
Tension.
The unmistakable rigid press against his thigh through Regulus’s trousers.
James’s gaze dropped.
Regulus’s dark trousers were tented visibly at the front.
Not subtly.
Not something either of them could pretend was a fold in the fabric.
Regulus was hard.

“And you must be Regulus. Sirius talks about you” Regulus felt the floor drop beneath his feet as Prongs looked at him for the first time. His deep brown eyes stared right into Regulus’ pale blue ones and he swore he could feel his heart beating inside his rib cage.
“Do they?” Regulus applauded himself when his voice came out cool and nonchalant instead of breathy and shaky like he was expecting.
“All the time.”
OR
When Regulus finally moves out of Number 12 Grimmuald place, he finds solace in the only place he can think of: Sirius Black's apartment. To repay his debts to them, he agrees to meet their friends. And maybe find love along the way.
