When you spend you whole life being betrayed and losing the people you love, it becomes difficult to love people. It was the reason the Ghost was as closed off as he was. His trust has been broken so many times, that he doesn't tell people insignificant things about himself.
Like how he loves dark green or that The Call of Cthulhu is one of his favorite stories. Or that he writes poetry and songs in his spare time.
Nobody can break your trust, if you didn't trust anybody to begin with.

OR
The Ghosts are sent to a Federation camp to locate Rorke. Rorke is nowhere to be found. Logan was assumed dead, and the ghosts have moved on from trying to find him. Mistake on their end.

Summary
Deadpool is unpredictable most of the time, but when it comes to certain things he is remarkably consistent. So when Spider-man can't find him, he knows it can't mean anything good.
He only has a half-baked idea of where Wade could be, but Peter is prepared to take some potentially drastic measures to find him. He's not sure he's ready to consider the reasons why.
He just tells himself it's worth it.

All his life he was raised as a Panthera, shifters who changed into enormous predatory big cats, but when the change finally takes him, he finds everything is not exactly as it seemed, and the world he knew, was never exactly how he saw it either.
