Summary
IT IS A GALAXY RULED BY MAD SCIENCE.... poorly.
Though, mind you, not as poorly as the previous system wherein the people with the right breeding and the giant robots got to run things. The Spark has always been in the background of the Inner Sphere, responsible for many of the wilder things people take for granted like fusion engines, BattleMechs and the revival of European feudalism. But when it emerges from the fringes in 2995 it brings more than ranting mad people in lab coats, strange inventions and fancier giant robots; it brings new ideas and old conspiracies with it that will rock human space to its core. Oh, and there are Clanners, too.
This is the story of the Spark Age and what came of it, told through maps, flags, Wikipedia boxes, quotes, the occasional story and whatever else the Creator thinks of at any given moment. Updated irregularly.

A character study spanning fifteen years, from an Orion teenager reading Navigating Multispecies Social Norms with increasing bewilderment, to a Starfleet officer on the USS Cerritos who has spent a decade learning to live in a one-tenth-bandwidth world — and who is beginning to understand, finally, why the bandwidth was ever restricted in the first place.
Tendi can smell everything. This is not a superpower. It is not a disability. It is the condition of being Orion in a room full of people who can't, and who mostly don't know she can, and who built their entire social architecture to compensate for a sense they don't consciously possess.
She loves them anyway. Possibly because of it.
