Summary
In the mid-'70s, Stan, on his way to his next scam, picks up Rick, who is stranded in the New Mexico desert outside Roswell. Despite initially agreeing to part ways in the next populated area, Rick takes an interest in Stan when he realizes he’s a prolific conman and becomes determined to stick around. Rick convinces Stan he needs a business partner, and circumstances and flimsy excuses keep them together as they scam their way through the American Southwest.
