1968.
Mihael follows the smoke down to the creek for two reasons. One, he’s fifteen and desperate for a lid of grass, and two, he’s over being a good citizen.
So somewhere in the creek-water, with ash on his fingertips, he is reborn as Mello, and thus begins a new life.
Matt is the coolest. He isn’t really a hippie; he just likes being stoned, and Mello is absolutely stuck on him.
