Summary
Izuku Midoriya winds up in the hospital three months before meeting All Might with what seems to be a useless quirk for an aspiring hero. plenty of ugly scars, and even more trauma.
Then trying to save his childhood friend from certain death triggers a calvacade of new "features" in his quirk and attracts the attentions of the number one hero and a young martial artist, giving a broken boy a chance at becoming the hero he's always dreamed of being.
Of course, everything quickly spirals out of control and seemingly everybody of any kind of importance has some sort of interest in the burgeoning hero.

Summary
Izuku Midoriya's decision to put everything he has into the two weeks leading up the U.A. sports festival leads to astounding progress in controlling his quirk and pursuing his dreams. That progress ripples into him experiencing a tragic and explosive loss the day before what was supposed to be the day he proved his worth to himself and to everyone he cared about. The shock and complete horror of his situation leads to Izuku competing in a state of ever increasing mania and odd behavior.
Class 1-A is oblivious as first, but grow increasingly concerned at their classmates bizarre and uncharacteristic actions. When they finally decide to act on their feelings, they are met with the reality of Izuku's past and current circumstance and just how much pain and misery he's carried even before his sudden change. What follows is a slow and arduous journey to help the boy recognize his own worth, not realizing that he's helping them along the way and bringing them all closer in ways they never expected.
