"For you modern men… what exactly is a fanfiction?" Suika asked innocently, a curious expression on her face as those big eyes bounced around the rest of the people sitting with her.
Gen almost choked on his cola.
Of course, he knew the answer – before the petrification, he had been a cultured guy who dabbled in a bit of everything – it wasn’t his fault if every series he watched ended up making him prefer the non-canon pairings.
Yuzuriha giggled before replying. "I didn’t think they still existed. They’re fictional stories about imaginary characters or real people, usually in a romantic context. They were a great pastime 4,000 years ago."
Ruri looked at her slightly confused. "Romantic? I couldn’t quite figure out what they were because I saw our names in there."
Just the old Kingdom of Science that, after saving humanity, realize they have become famous enough to have fanfiction written about them.

There was no way in hell Senku was going to call some service to spend his rut with a stranger.
His first rut had lasted around five days if he remembered correctly. It had been annoying enough that he had immediately gone onto suppressants, but not terrible. Not unbearable, just irritating, distracting, and inconvenient as most aspects of puberty had been.
