Summary
Komaeda is difficult to understand.
Impulsive, chasing 'hope', deluded--Hinata couldn't fathom why Komaeda considered them similar in any way. Sometimes she wondered why she bothered trying. In the end, it seems to hurt more than it helps.
*Takes place in chapter 3, Free Time Event 5. Except I changed Komaeda’s location to the beach. Also they're girls.

Charlie’s trying not to notice how his breath catches when the doc gets too close. He’s also trying not to notice how the bodies keep piling up, unsolved. Neither effort is going particularly well.
And if one more person tells him it was a bear, he’s going to shoot something. Probably not a bear.
