Daemon shows no reaction. "Let us not speak of this now."
Rhaenyra cuts him off, frowning. "Why?"
Smiling his slightly skewed grin, Daemon gestures broadly at the pool, all charm and no care in the world. "As you may see, Princess, I am currently preoccupied. Isn’t this a somewhat inappropriate setting for that kind of conversation?"
"Why? Last I checked these are not rarely the conversations had in the privacy of bathhouses."
"You’re hardly bathing, are you?"
The decision has solidified in her mind before she can even weigh out the possible consequences.
… OR Rhaenyra and Daemon reunite during Daemon's momentary return from Dragon Stone. Rhaenyra will be getting her answers, decisions are made, and things get a little out of hand.

Stunned disbelief and/or self-righteous vindication notwithstanding, it did explain how and why the Avengers were so often thwarted when they really shouldn’t have been: Stark had clearly put Parker’s genius — and Ned Leeds' — to work for him. He had subverted the kids so successfully that even Nick Fury was reluctantly — and furiously — impressed.
Only . . . that wasn’t remotely how it happened.
