Summary
After arriving on the island, Leon had finally found Ashley and used the last of the plaga suppressant. But before he could do anything else the parasite in him decided to kick into gear and tear at his body, pain and exhaustion threatening to make him black out. Yet he couldn’t collapse now, not when they weren’t safe.
(Takes place during RE4, just as Leon found Ashley on Los Illuminados island.)

A failed mission ended up with Red Hood severely injured and buried under the remnants of a collapsed building, as well as an incapacitated Batman and an unconscious Robin, whose presence had been due to his request for back-up. And it all took a turn for the worse when their minutes were numbered.
Sending out the distress call had been a mistake. A mistake that might cost the lives of a father and a brother.

Summary
On hindsight, Jason probably should have heeded his injuries from the previous night and stayed in. Maybe he should have swallowed his pride and asked for some Bat-assistance. But 20/20 was stupid, he was already in this situation and didn’t want to think of mistakes and regrets. Besides, the Bats and him were tenuous allies at best, nothing more. No reason for them to answer his call for help.

Summary
Neither Damian nor Jason were keen on the escape plan. Not only were they forced to leave Talia behind in enemy territory, they were supposed to seek refuge from a virtual stranger: the fabled Bat of Gotham City. Yet they had no choice but to trust Talia's plan and head to Wayne Manor with nothing but stolen weapons and rations, their own bleeding and injured bodies, and the League of Assassins on their tail.
Even so, Jason couldn't help but doubt Talia's trust in The Bat, their risky plan and destination, and his own ability to keep both Damian and himself alive.

They didn’t know Hood was there until Nightwing had snuck through one of the windows and saw him having a tense conversation with the traffickers who ran operations there, and then one of them- the leader, probably- had taken a threatening step forward.
Hood had remedied that by shooting him in the face, and from there all hell had broken loose. Nightwing dropped down- enemy of my enemy, and also maybe Hood would kill less of them if a Bat was there (he did not) and assisted, but one of the traffickers, by the end, had managed to set up a bomb with non-insubstantial amounts of C4. So then the warehouse had been a smoking wreck. Hood had taken the brunt of it, slamming hard into a wall, mask letting out a sharp crack, and slumping, unconscious.
And- well, is Dick supposed to just leave him there?

Jason's little apartment isn't much.
It's small, like most apartments in the area are. Not the large apartment complexes in the gentrified neighborhoods, or the run-down tenament buildings in the East End. Not the brownstone style apartments of the older districts.
Like most apartments in Chelsea, Jason only has three neighboring units. It's a small two bed, one bath with an open living/dining room, and attached kitchen. It's practically an efficiency, with the bedrooms being slightly larger than postage stamps.

When he was a kid, there were these stupid little stuffed toy things that everybody at school tried to collect. 'Pound Puppies', just these… little stuffed dogs, that had these big sad eyes, and sewn on mouths.
Even Jason had one. A gray, short-earred, pug-tailed one, missing an eye, although that probably had more to do with wherever the hell Willis got the damn thing. For lack of anything better, he'd named it Benji, because he had no idea what the hell else to name it.

Sometimes, Jason looks in the mirror and he can’t seem to see himself. His hair is too dark, too light, eyes too green, too tired. He’s taller and stronger and colder and he looks nothing like the child he once was. It’s only fair, he supposes, to change as he grows up. Everyone does. He couldn’t stay 15 forever.
Except he could’ve. He wasn’t supposed to come back, wasn’t supposed to crawl out of his grave with dirt beneath his fingers and in his hair and eyes and lungs and—
He wasn’t supposed to come back. Jason Todd was supposed to stay 15 forever, alive only in memories that wouldn’t grow older, though the people carrying them would. His clothes would be folded up and packed away into cardboard boxes, his photographs would grow dust and the flowers on his grave would wilt and disappear.
He was supposed to be forgotten.

Summary
Batman had saved Joker's life before. More than once. He'd probably help, even if he knew. Even if he arrested Jason afterward. Even if it was the last straw.
He dug in his pocket for the signal-blocking case with his free hand. They could track the comm when it was on, if they wanted to. He didn't like to take any chances when he wasn't fine with being found.
Funny, when now he was just hoping they'd care enough to try.
