Summary
Wei Wuxian didn’t get why Jin Ling felt the need to be so contradictory, and hurtful at times. Despite the appearances, they were friends indeed, mostly thanks to Lan Sizhui’s efforts.

His brother let out the longest, weariest, most dramatic sigh he possibly could and knocked back his cup of tea as if it was alcohol.
“That,” he said, slamming the cup back on the table, “is the second coming of Jin Zixuan.”In which Jin Ling inherited his father's romance skills and Wei Wuxian feels compelled to step in and help the kids out (also Jiang Cheng asked him to).

Yok had forgotten, but parents love Black – it was something Gram had mentioned once, that Black’s girlfriend’s parents adored him nearly as much as Gram’s own, and Yok had found it hilarious for like a week before brushing it off – anyway, Yok’s mae is apparently no exception.
After the betrayal, and the van, and the rescue, Yok's expecting to go home and nurse his wounds in peace... but that's when Black shows up.

And then he found out that White had no plans to go back to their father’s house and nowhere else to go either. Black was too tired to come up with anything else, so fuck it, White was sticking with him, the gang could deal.

“I’ve figured it out. Can I ask you to be with me, stay by my side forever?”
Even as he said the words, his gut was telling him he was asking the wrong person, that this was not the Black he wanted to say the words to. Black looked away momentarily and seemed to be thinking of something before his eyes were back on Sean. He stood, sauntered over to the taller man and grabbing the lapel of his jacket, bringing him in for a kiss.
It was at that moment, that Sean has his answer, because these lips, they were not the ones he had kissed earlier that day.
Or, Sean is suspicious the second he pulls up beside Black's bike when he was ready to confess.
