After one too many brutal adventures leaves Jax and Pomni both cracked open, Jax can’t keep dodging her anymore. The avoidance shatters and they’re stuck in shared silence. In that silence the scariest glitch hits them both, that they actually need each other to keep from falling apart completely.

Following the events of episode 7. After another awful adventure, everyone is at their wits end. After Zooble says they're officially done with Caine's adventures, Caine offers them the exact thing Zooble said they'd wanted. However, there are clearly still some bugs that need to be worked out with this new reward system, as Pomni can't seem to get things going. After hearing that Jax is also having problems, she winds up doing something she never thought she would. Asking Jax for help...

"I'm half CRAZY, all for the love of you..."
A glitch in an adventure? Impossible. Or it should be…
It's a typical day in the circus. Caine has another adventure for the circus members where they are supposed to embark on a dangerous mission to "save the children!" as the AI advertises it. The cast of characters are sent to an old toy factory turned mental institution, where the lost "children" are little toys needing to be rescued. Except it's not "a typical day in the circus". Because all of the circus members are shot out of whatever is let of their minds after Caine pulled what he did in Episode 7. Tensions are at an all-time high, and the only way Caine knows how to boost morale is to send off the poor players into another one of his "grand ol' times".
Everyone is unusually quiet until that one mumbled remark. Then whispers turn into shouts. Then flashes of light and suddenly darkness - and then a certain jester and a certain rabbit are gone. What will happen as Jax and Pomni peruse the glitch in the adventure? What is happening to the others as they speak? Does Caine know? Is he causing it? Will he stop it? Can he stop it?

Jax is on the brink of abstracting, practically microdosing on it everyday now.. Everybody seems wary of Jax and seems to avoid him. Pomni is scared for Jax, she doesn't want to let him go. She believes Jax is innocent and Caine controlled him. This fanfic takes place after episode 7. Crazy right? How can anyone make a happy ending after that. This'll have lots of angst, fluff, and maybe smut too.
