Summary
She came back. After two years. Some things have changed, some have stayed the same. After watching Rita make her escape by boat at the crack of dawn, Dexter never thought she'd come back. He was getting a second chance, and he didnt want to mess it up.
This is a sequel to my previous work: "Is ignorance bliss?" If you haven't read it yet, please do.

I've kind of gotten over my Dexter phase for the most part, however with the new season releasing in October, I will most likely gain the motivation to continue this fic. Sorry! -

The story starts in s02 episode 12 where Rita finds Doakes in the cabin instead of Lila.
Rita was getting more and more suspicious of Dexter and his late night activities.
What could he possibly be doing that could make him constantly late everytime he was invited over?
Then again, Rita wasn't sure if she wanted to know. Some things are best kept under the covers.. But it was really bothering her.
