Summary
Shane stops at the edge of a small drop off. There, resting on the sandy bottom, lies his prey.
It’s a mer, but a kind of mer Shane has never seen before. This thing is big, nearly as big as Shane himself, and looks unlike any other mer Shane knows of. Spines, bright red and white in vibrant stripes, stick straight out from its tail and fan lazily in the slight tug of the water, stirring up a current seemingly without fear. Bulky arms are crossed to cushion its head, riotous with light curls, as it lounges easily on the sand, showcasing its size and weight.
And it’s just laying there, basking in the last of the light, seemingly unaware of Shane, a shark on the hunt.
Shane needs a successful hunt. Ilya is right there, ready for the taking.

Summary
For almost as long as Eddie can remember, his mom has been a vampire. She secretly feeds on him and him alone in the isolation of their home. He's managed this his whole life, never telling anyone, not even the Losers. After they defeat It, it seems like she gets worse. Hungrier. But what is he supposed to do? She's his mother, after all.
The rest of the Losers don't know exactly what's going on, but they slowly realize that something is horribly wrong. And if Eddie isn't going to tell them the truth, they'll have to figure it out themselves. They'll have to save Eddie before it's too late.

Hudson, his name was. “Like the river?” Tessio had asked, bewildered; Clemenza had shrugged. Who the fuck knew. Good river, the Hudson. Had kept many of Clemenza’s bodies hidden over the years.
