Summary
Like the other counsellors, Ryan was plagued by hauntings at night. Yet his were not limited to nightmares, but instead the ghost of a bereaved old woman and whispers that the werewolves weren’t the only monsters out there.
He wanted to believe that the terror ended at Hackett’s Quarry, and that no other creatures roamed the streets at night.
He can’t be so sure.

Summary
The poem was wrong, or at the very least misinterpreted. Killing the werewolf that infected you didn't cure you. It had to be the first werewolf, the very first- Silas. But Silas is missing deep in the woods somewhere and each of the counsellors have been bitten. Unable to put an end to their curse and with the full moon approaching once more, they have no choice but to return to the summer camp where their lives were changed forever over the course of just one night. It is up to them to work out how to deal with the trauma of what they went through, their new affliction and the new dynamics that are forming between the group.

No one mentions Emma, pale faced and silent at the other end of the diner—
It's better that way, she thinks. She doesn't know exactly what she feels, but it's like there's a warhead caught in her breastbone: large and looming and liable to level a city block if she's not careful.
