The White Council never knew what a danger Harry Dresden could one day be. When they arrived to what they thought were two teenagers breaking the Laws of Magic they found one strong practitioner and one barely worth acknowledging had magic at at. Due to this, a Warden takes him to a social worker. After two weeks of Harry constantly running away and getting picked back up by the police. His social worker goes to an old friend in order to keep him in one place.
John had only recently taken control over the Outfit when he gets a strange request. He certainly didn't expect to have a scruffy sixteen year old to be dropped off at his office. But after having to chase him down twice in less than 6 hours he realizes why she brought him to John. So, now the question is, how is the crime lord supposed to handle a teenager who trusts less than most of his men inside the Outfit? Especially without breaking the new rule that he implemented. No children.

Harry wasn't sure when he willingly started showing up to Marcone's when he felt out of control. It should have scared him but instead it was just... nice not to have to be in control of everything for a little while and to trust someone else to keep everything under control. Most of the time Marcone had to track him down rather than Harry going to him. He knew he was at the point where he needed the man to step in. He hadn't slept in 3 days and is nerves were shot to the point he'd blown out every electronic within a mile of him when he stepped out of the NeverNever. For the first time he calls Marcone for help.
