Kaito hates Kokichi… but he hates the killing game even more. In the cold, cavernous Exisal hangar, Kaito stares into the poison-fevered eyes of the Ultimate Supreme Leader and makes a decision: the killing game is over. He will not kill Kokichi. He will not drop the press and entomb this child inside the killing game he claims to despise. I stand from my bed and make my way to the bathroom, hoping to splash some cold water on my face to help me calm down. Without thinking, I opened the bathroom door with ease.
“Hey, hey, HEEEYYYY!” Monokuma popped out of the floor, causing me to jump backwards with a yelp. “How’d you know???”
“H-huh?” Genuinely confused, I take a step back so I’m standing outside the bathroom, looking in at the bear. His hands are resting on his hips, and he looks pretty upset. What could I have done that he’d know about?
“The door!” Monokuma stomped towards me, causing me to take steps back as well. “How’d you open it??”
"Um–” caught off guard, I blinked a few times. “I, uh… what do you mean?”
"This door has a special trick to open it!” He huffed, shaking his head in disapproval. “But you just did it like it's no big deal! Taking away all my fun…”
“Well, uh…” What am I even supposed to say here?? Arg… I’ve never been good at lying…

Maybe the clouds have finally parted from his eyes.
And if Hizashi is the sun, did that mean Oboro was the cloud blocking him from enjoying that beautiful skyline?
The thought makes him feel a twinge of guilt.

After the Killing School Life, Byakuya, Makoto and Toko manage to get separated from the other survivors and get trapped in Towa city.
This is no accident however. The Remnants of Despair want Makoto for....something, and they’re going to have fun with it.
Nagito needs to see if the Makoto Naegi is truly the incarnation of Hope, or if he’s nothing more then a disgusting fake. He’ll need to test him, even if it means putting him through Ultimate Despair first to bring him the purest of Hope.
Kamukura knows what’s going to happen. It’s boring. He is going to get the most interesting outcome. Hajime’s simply along for the ride. He doesn’t have a choice.
Makoto just wants to find his friends, escape, and maybe help some upperclassmen along the way, and make a new best friend, or maybe two while he’s at it.
Nobody is having a good time, expect for Monaca, and maybe Nagito.

Hizashi raises the brick one more time just in case, but when a few seconds pass and the thug fails to move, he lets it slip from his fingers and clatter to the concrete below. He can’t help but let out a stuttering half-sigh, half-manic chuckle, because fuck that was too close.
Is still too close, if the way his vision swims and stomach churns is any indication. It takes far too long for him to remember he still has a very important job to do, and he raises his head to try and make note of where all the current pieces of the situation at hand lay.
His first thought is to his apparent savior, who’s still standing stock still right where they’d been when they’d tossed the brick.
Hizashi decides to walk home from the station late one night. This leads to a very important chance encounter.
