Summary
The wedding of Viserys Targaryen and Alicent Hightower is known to history as the day of the black sun. For the sun was overtaken by a reddish hue, making the whole place dark. The fires that followed, lasted for days. The sept was burned, leaving behind only ashes in its wake. The lords that had gathered to watch the king marry the daughter of a landless man, were fleeing, trying to get away from the flames, the king hit with the head of the statue of the mother, would not awaken, for moons on end, and when he did, the realm would wish for his death, for they had gotten the taste of a competent ruler and now they were stuck with the cursed butcher.
When you play the game of thrones you win, or you die! Viserys is going to wish he had died.
